The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised and analytical School Data Manager to lead the effective management, analysis, and reporting of student and school data at Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City. This role works collaboratively with senior leadership, academic staff, and administrative teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and used strategically to drive school improvement, student outcomes and communication across the school. The Data Manager plays a critical role in supporting informed decision-making, monitoring academic progress, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role contributes to the school’s academic performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the whole school community. As a key member of the school team, you will help support the school’s vision in alignment with the mission of Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City, upholding the values and legacy of our founding institution, Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet.

The Role
Job Title: School Data Manager
Reporting to: Principal / SLT
Data Management and Systems
Lead the management and maintenance of the school’s Management Information System (ISAMS), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of all student and staff data.
Oversee the input, validation, and regular updating of key data sets including attendance, assessment, behaviour, and demographic information.
Develop and maintain efficient data systems and processes to support school operations.
Ensure data is stored and handled in compliance with data protection regulations and school policies.
Assessment, Reporting, and Analysis
Coordinate the collection, collation, and analysis of assessment data across all key stages.
Produce regular reports for senior leadership, heads of department, and teachers to support monitoring of student progress and attainment.
Analyse trends and performance data to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement.
Support the production of internal and external reports, including those required by KHDA and other regulatory bodies.
Assist in the development of data dashboards and visual reports to enhance accessibility and understanding.
Support for Teaching and Learning
Work closely with academic staff to ensure effective use of data to inform teaching, learning, and intervention strategies.
Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of data systems and interpretation of data.
Support the tracking of student progress, including targeted groups and intervention programmes.
Contribute to whole-school improvement planning through data insights and evidence-based recommendations.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure all data-related processes meet regulatory and inspection requirements, including KHDA expectations.
Support school self-evaluation and inspection preparation through accurate and timely data provision.
Conduct regular audits of data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
Maintain documentation of data processes, policies, and procedures.
Administration and Operational Support
Manage key data processes such as report cycles, timetabling support, and census returns (if applicable).
Collaborate with IT and administrative teams to ensure effective integration and functionality of data systems.
Support admissions, examinations, and other school functions through accurate data handling and reporting.
Student Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Professional Conduct
Ensure all data is handled with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Contribute to a safe and respectful school environment through responsible data management.
Uphold safeguarding and data protection responsibilities in line with school policies and local regulations.
The Person
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Management, IT, Business, or Education).
Proven experience in a data management or data analysis role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
Strong experience using Management Information Systems (e.g., SIMS, iSAMS, Arbor, or similar).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with British curriculum assessment frameworks is desirable.
Knowledge of KHDA reporting requirements is an advantage.
