School Duty Nurse

Benenden School have 2 vacancies for Nurses to join our thriving team in the Medical Centre. Benenden is a boarding school with 555 girls aged 11-18. Nursing cover is provided 24 hours a day during term time. 

The successful applicants will be qualified Registered Nurses, w ho have excellent nursing skills, are empathetic to teenage needs, along with good administrative skills, and an enthusiastic team member. Some A & E or practice nurse experience could be beneficial but is not essential. They will provide nursing cover in the Medical Centre for a shift pattern covering evening, overni ght and weekends which is based on a three week rota. One position for 58 hours and the other for 65 hours over the 3 weeks. For full rota please see the job description on our website. Benenden is one of the leading boarding schools in Britain. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 555 girls in the school, aged 11-18 , with 187 of those in the Sixth Form. Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations includin g the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching th e Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school , with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we are currently worki ng to establish a new School Hall and Music School.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
