We have a great opportunity for a School Effectiveness and Leadership Advisor to join our business, monitoring and supporting the educational provision in the Devon area, by promoting improved quality of leadership and its impact on outcomes for children and younger people.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a School Effectiveness and Leadership Advisor to implement rigorous classroom observation skills and apply appropriate criteria. You will have the ability to provide high quality feedback, communicating effectively to different audiences in order to present findings and judgements in a clear and concise manner.
What will you be doing?
You will play a key role in contributing to the strategic planning and oversight for all schools in Devon in order to maintain quality, performance and standards.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring that all children and young people have access to consistently high quality opportunities to learn and achieve.
- Promoting strategies to raise outcomes for vulnerable pupils, and checking their impact.
- Ensuring that robust quality assurance and appropriate levels of support and challenge are provided to schools according to risk assessment.
- Supporting all forms of leadership to enable schools to evaluate and plan for self-improvement
The experience you’ll bring
- Education to degree level and award of qualified teacher status is essential
- Evidence of further study or development is essential
- Previous successful school leadership experience and/or successful experience as an adviser/consultant is essential
- Knowledge of Education, leadership and management
- Knowledge of the changing national educational climate
- Knowledge of the relationship between schools, local authorities and the Regional Schools Commissioner
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role – Enhanced DBS check / Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List check and Credit check
- The role is mobile and you will be required to hold a Full driving licence and provide a vehicle for business use
