We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Officer to support the school's administrative team in providing an effective and efficient financial support service to the school's senior leadership team and governors. The postholder will be responsible for the upkeep of the school's finance system and ensure that the required financial processes are followed consistently to ensure compliance with the school and council's policies and procedures. In addition to this, the postholder will be required to support the school's wider administrative functions, including the organisation of school clubs, trips and music tuition as well as supporting the rest of the administrative team in all aspects of school life, including liaising with all the school's stakeholders, particularly children and parents.

The postholder is expected to be able to work independently and encouraged to use initiative in organising their workload and helping the school to modernise its approach to the administrative support the team provides to the school. Graduate applicants are encouraged to apply as well as those looking to develop their expertise and further their professional development, which is encouraged by the school. Roding Primary School is a non-denominational, co-educational facility in Woodford Green, North East London. The school has special provisions for children affected by deafness. Children will typically start in the nursery facility or one of the two Reception classes. Roding has a Breakfast club and and an independent company is also contracted by Roding Primary to provide after-school meal facilities. 

The school was constructed in 1938 on land belonging to Bernardo’s charity, and the Infant and Junior divisions were joined together in 1952. Today, Roding Primary is a two form entry school and educates children between the ages of 3-11. There approximately 440 pupils on the school roll, of which 35 children who are hearing impaired or deaf. This creates a unique, rich and privileged identity for Roding Primary school and is a fundamental part of our inclusive nature.
