The Governing Body at Hillstone Primary School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Head Teacher who can build on our vision and values and help shape our future direction in a challenging educational world.

Hillstone Primary School has a successful local reputation and can offer a fully subscribed school and nursery, with stable pupil numbers. We are an exciting and inspirational 2 form entry school and nursery class that converted to a stand alone academy in 2014, with a current total of 474 pupils.

Hillstone is a happy, caring and creative school, set in uniquely leafy surroundings on large grounds.

We believe that every child should enjoy their education and our aim is to get the very best from each pupil. We offer a rich and diverse curriculum, which balances the highest academic aspirations with a wide range of music, art, sport, food, outdoor education and pastoral care. We go “above and beyond” to support our children and prepare them to be successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.

If you share our vision and are an exceptional leader, we would love to hear from you.

Our new Head Teacher will:

  • Continue to make learning a happy experience for every child
  • Value every child and strive to ensure that both pupils and staff have high aspirations for achievement
  • Be a positive role model, with the ability to motivate children and staff alike, inspiring all to reach their full potential.
  • Continue the well-established relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the local community.
  • Offer strong, inspirational leadership and people management skills with the ability to further develop the leadership team.
  • Demonstrate the drive, experience and creativity to build on our current high standards of teaching and learning, through innovative continuous school improvement and have experience of financial management in schools.

We can offer you:

  • Loyal, committed and enthusiastic staff dedicated to bringing out the full potential of each child.
  • Children who are happy, valued and well-motivated.
  • An inclusive ethos in which everyone is valued and respected
  • A supportive Governing Body and parents.
