Health Care Assistant required as soon as possible.

Closing date for applications is midday on Friday 10 December 2021. Due to the need to appoint quickly we reserve the right to interview and appoint at any stage of the process.

Lewes Old Grammar School are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help to support our busy Health Centre. The ideal candidate will have previous knowledge and experience of providing first aid and working within education, childcare provision or paediatric healthcare.  First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid qualifications are desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.   

Main Responsibilities: 

• To support and assist the Health Manager to provide a clinically effective, high quality service of nursing care to pupils and first aid care to all members of the school community. 

• To assist the Health Manager with administrative duties. 

• To provide first aid care and treatment to pupils when required 

• To cover the Health Centre and be the first port of call for first aid cover when the Health Manager is unavailable.

About Lewes Old Grammar School

Lewes Old Grammar School is an independent, co-educational, all-through school in East Sussex. The historic town of Lewes has a population of 17,000 and is known for its annual bonfire festival. 

The school can trace its roots to an educational foundation started by Agnes Morley during the reign of Henry VIII. At its last inspection there were 509 pupils on the school roll, between the ages of 3 and 18.
