School IT Helpdesk Technician (Full-Time, Permanent, with 9.6 weeks holiday, including bank holidays)

Blossom House is a specialist school for children aged 3 – 19 years of age with speech, language and communication difficulties. 

We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and friendly administrator to join our busy IT Support team. You will have had experience in a busy customer facing role and be confident in performing general IT admin tasks.

You are organised but have a flexible approach to workloads. You have used Microsoft packages and reporting tools. You’ll also be keen to learn new IT skills to compliment the service you can offer to both staff and the IT Team.

You are a great communicator and are able to support non-technical users to troubleshoot with patience and empathy. Ideally you will have either work experience as a 1st line IT tech or similar role.

The ideal candidate will:

·        Have a friendly and enthusiastic approach.

·        Have experience of working as a first line IT Tech or similar role in an efficient and pro-active manner.

·        Be highly organised.

·        Be able to work effectively under pressure. 

·        Have the ability to prioritise and work accurately with a high attention to detail.

·        Have excellent communication skills, particularly in speaking to others on the telephone and drafting emails.

·        Be able to build effective working relationships and work well as part of a busy team.

·        Be proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel and ideally have experience of using databases.

·        Have good problem solving skills.

 

Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

Annual salary: Salary dependent on experience

Holiday: 8 weeks (to be taken during the school holidays) plus 8 days bank holidays
