The Role  

We are currently seeking hardworking, committed and cheerful Kitchen General Assistant to prepare food for our students children. Previous experience is desirable, but training will be given. 

Candidates must be willing to undertake the Level 2 Food Safety and any other relevant training. 

Effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer care are essential. 

The candidate will be expected to promote and practice safeguarding in relation to the welfare of the children they come into contact with and therefore an extensive knowledge and understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures and legislation is essential.   

What we are looking for Someone:  

  • To undertake as part of a team basic preparation of food,
  •  To serve food to our pupils, 
  •  To wash up, do kitchen cleaning and general kitchen duties,
  •  To promote healthy eating.

 Our ideal candidate should be attentive, punctual and preferably have previous experience working with children in a school or nursery environment. This role would particularly suit somebody who is looking for flexible working hours or is looking to supplement other work in nursery or other child care areas.   

Our School

King Solomon is a popular free school which opened in 2015 in the heart of Birmingham City. King Solomon is a multi-denominational Christian school which, when fully established, will provide education, with a business emphasis, for pupils aged from 4 – 18 years old. The school currently has Reception, Year 1, Year 7 and Year 8 cohorts and will be enrolling new cohorts of Reception and Year 7 pupils in the 2017 September entry.  

King Solomon is affiliate to The Woodard Corporation which contains some of the highest achieving schools in both the public and private sectors.
