Rockwood Academy is a popular school at the heart of the local community. Our last Ofsted inspection (March 2016) rated the academy as 'Good' in every category including pupil outcomes; quality of teaching, learning and assessment, behaviour and welfare and effectiveness of leadership and management. This is a tremendous achievement considering even nationally very few schools go straight from 'Special Measures' to 'Good'.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible Librarian to join our friendly team. You will be required to deliver a high level of support to students and staff using a variety of library resources. In addition to excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills, the ideal candidate must have an interest in literature with the desire to enthuse young readers.
The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant learning community that will offer fantastic opportunities for professional development and will fully prepare the successful candidates for the next step in their career.
