Purpose and Key roles

 

To provide and lead a comprehensive, administrative service to support the schools. Work independently, prioritising work as necessary and without direct supervision on all routine matters.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·        Ensuring that the schools have consistently high-quality administrative support.

·        Co-ordinating any administrative duties relating to the EHCP, LAC and Annual Review processes. 

·        Overseeing the smooth, efficient and professional running of the school’s front office and admin team including the school administrator and referrals officer.

·        Organising the administrative division within the school to guarantee an efficient and well- structured office system; allocating tasks/duties to admin staff so as to ensure a first-rate pupil, visitor and staff experience, including an excellent front-of-house service.

·        Line management of the school administrative team with responsibility for performance management.

·        Running regular team meetings with the admin team to forward-plan, assign tasks, review progress.

·        Being a point of contact for in-coming administrative tasks, allocating them fairly, appropriately, effectively, and according to skill set across the admin team.

·        Responsible for the effective management of the transportation system both internal and external.

·        Responsible for ensuring appropriate cover is in place for the admin team as and when required.

·        Assisting with the organisation of and the smooth running of School Parents’ Evenings and other formal events.

·        With the Executive Head Teacher and Heads of School produce accurate, smart and well-coordinated programmes/orders of service for events/concerts/School services etc.

·        Responsible for the effective co-ordination of internal school events with support from the wider team.

·        Being the admin lead on SIMS, My Concern and the Single Central Record including maintaining current pupil files and ensuring that the   School holds up-to-date and accurate records.  

·        Support the school with administrative tasks and reports as required.

·        With the Senior Team, contributing to the strategic planning of the School through consideration of the best model of admin support and the best use of skill sets and resources.

·        Regular meetings with the Executive Head and Heads of School.

·        Undertaking any other tasks or duties as may be reasonably requested by the Exec Head.

·        At all times leading by example and being a beacon of professionalism and high standards.
