Job Description:

Examination Management:

  • Ensuring up-to date knowledge of and familiarity with the examination system and exam board regulations
  • Informing staff, students and parents of the dates schedule for exam entry, both internal and external
  • Liaising with the examining bodies to ensure we adhere to their regulations, attend any necessary training for this and ensure the relevant knowledge is communicated to the relevant people and that students are made aware of these regulations
  • Ensuring the system for exam entries, receipt and recording of results and the issuing of certificates is efficient and is reviewed on a regular basis
  • Dealing with correspondence from the exam boards and taking the relevant action, discussing it with the relevant Heads of Department if needed
  • Liaising with Heads of Department regarding the schedule for exam entries and dealing with any concerns or issues that they might have regarding this
  • Being responsible for the submission of the exam entry forms to the exam boards.
  • Managing the receipt of exam results and their distribution to students as well as cascading the relevant data to other members of the Management Team and Heads of Department
  • Ensuring all exams fees are collected in a timely manner and that students submitting late entries are charged the additional fees
  • Processing requests for re-marks and script requests
  • Being responsible for the examinations budget
  • Overseeing requests for special consideration and the arrangements that need to be made for this
  • Organising the invigilation timetable ensuring that minimum disruption to teaching and the daily life of the College
  • Ensuring that all confidential material is kept securely and access limited to only specified people and ensuring that this area is kept neat and organised in preparedness for inspection
  • Maintaining registers and seating plans for exams
  • Dealing with requests for predicted grades from the exam boards
  • Ensuring that all exam rooms are kept in a secure manner, with all material ready in advance of the exam
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of staff, students and invigilators whilst in the exam room
  • Dealing with examination queries from students and parents
  • Resolving exam clashes and making sure that this is notified to the board
  • Burlington College’s private candidates entry in exams & coordinate with Head Higher Education
  • Coursework Co-ordination and collection
  • Science Practical Coordination
  • Timetable Management:
  • Manage timetable on NOVT6
  • Manage room allocation
  • Manage timetable updates and answering student and staff queries on this matter

Data Management:

  • Day to day student data management on School information management system(SIMS)
  • Generating Monthly report from SIMS & as and when required
  • Manage and maintain student profile on SIMS
  • Evaluate the individual teachers reports and post to the parents

Compliances Coordination:

  • Provide Curriculum support and coordination
  • Ensure college is complaint to Ofsted/ISA regulations all the time
  • Coordinate communication between head teacher and teachers
  • Help Head teacher in preparation of SEF documents
  • Assist headteacher in school policy development 

 Operational Management:

  • Ensuring standard operating procedure is followed across the school
  • Monitoring teachers attendance, absences & punctuality
  • Organising lesson/s cover work in teachers absence
  • Assisting Headteacher in organising academic school calendar
  • Compiling Management Report 

Person Specification:

  • Degree qualified
  • Teaching qualification preferred
  • Previous experience in similar role

Our History

Regent Group was established in 2000 by Selva Pankaj, Tharshiny Pankaj and Senior Selvanayagam.

Regent Independent College was the very first division within Regent Group established that same year offering full-time courses for Year 10, Year 11, AS and A2 as well as intensive one year courses for GCSE and A-Level.

As it established both its place in the local community and a favourable reputation, it grew in student numbers and an interest in part-time provision evolved with enquiring parents.

So it was that in 2000 Regent Learning Centre was established in Harrow, offering programmes of supplementary tuition for students Year 7 and above in English and Maths. Demand led to Science and ICT being added to the suite of subjects on offer. Later, primary tuition for students aged 4 upwards in literacy and numeracy was introduced along with programmes of preparation for entrance exams for independent and grammar schools. Since then, further centres have been opened in Edgware and Southall.

In 2004, Regent expanded into childcare with the opening of Regent Nursery. It currently offers childcare for children up to 5 years, on both a full-time and part-time basis.

By 2009, Regent Independent College was thriving and on the basis of its success, Regent Group made a second addition to its sixth form provision and opened up Burlington College.

In 2010 based on demand for alternative courses, Regent diversified into the provision of Higher National Diploma courses and thus Regent College Higher Education was born and has since blossomed.

With a view to a diversification of the courses that it could offer to adult learners, after Regent was approved for entry on the Register of Training Organisations in 2014, it established its Regent Skills Training division, which is currently working with the well-known and major training provider 5E to offer a range of courses. In the same year, Wembley English Academy was launched which specialises in English courses.

iRegent, a blended learning based tuition service for children of both primary and secondary ages was launched in Regent Learning Centre Harrow in 2015.

Regent Leadership is Regent Group’s newest venture offering executive level education, supporting learning through coaching and providing highly personalised programmes to meet the needs and aspirations of senior level clients.
