School Meals Supervisory Assistant

Work timings: 7.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 1:30 pm

Work Pattern: Term Time only

Salary: Scale 1, Points 9-11; this includes 20 minute meetings to attend each fortnight

Interview Date: Interviews to be arranged. Candidates will be notified by telephone in the first instance

Do you want to be a key player in our SMSA team? We are looking for someone committed and enthusiastic to be a part of our effective lunchtime team.

The role will entail:  

• Helping supervise students during the lunch hour. 
• Engaging pupils in play activities.
• Keeping our pupils safe.
• Communicating effectively with both adults and pupils. 

The ideal candidate will able to:

• Speak English to a good level;
• Have an understanding of how to work in a team;
• Understand cultural diversity;
• Observe children and help develop social and communication skills.

We will be offering full induction to the successful candidate. Previous experience of working with children is highly desirable, this can be as voluntary work. Please indicate on your application the experience you have had, and the age group of the children, you have worked with.
