We are looking for an inspirational and experienced leader from within education to join our Senior Leadership team as the Youth Sport Trust’s School Network Director.
As School Network Director you will have a specific focus on our unique position in the education landscape. This will involve providing strategic leadership for our education and schools work from policy through to development and implementation from Early Years to post 16. You help us grow and sustain our movement of member schools and maintain our thought leading reputation in the area of school improvement through PE and schools sport. Important will be the ability to forge links that will enhance our reach and credibility within education as well as impact on school performance. In this role you will lead the development and deployment of our ambassador and advocacy networks, as well as oversee key relationships with education policy makers, stakeholders, and partners. You will also line manage specific strategic leaders within the organisation to improve our effectiveness. The successful candidate will have the ability and appetite to build a robust financial position by encouraging growth and development in areas such as our professional development courses, consultancy and commissioned work.
You must have extensive senior management experience with a proven ability to lead, develop and motivate others to reach their full potential. You will be used to developing strategy and policy as well as influencing decision/policy makers to turn ideas into practice. An effective communicator, you will be skilled at influencing a range of audiences and building effective relationships. An excellent project manager you will have a track record of co-ordinating multiple programmes, managing financials and delivering against plans and deadlines. You will also be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the schools and education landscape.
