Bournemouth Collegiate School is a rapidly growing co-educational independent school situated on the south coast. The School has extensive facilities, on two sites. BCS provides a nurturing environment where the happiness of the pupils comes first.

BCS is looking to recruit a school nurse into our medical team. The successful candidate may potentially be required to work across both sites at our Preparatory School in Poole and the Senior School in Southbourne. Our nursing team provides an excellent standard of care for our boarders and day pupils as well as the wider school community. Working as part of this team, we would expect meticulous attention to detail, a calm disposition and resilience to multi-task across a variety of priorities such as the changing needs of students, first aid, allergies and management of ongoing health conditions. Competent IT skills are absolutely essential, as all records are kept electronically and accuracy of data input is paramount.

You should ideally have experience of working an education setting but this is not essential.

You will need to work effectively individually and as part of a team, using personal skills, knowledge and experience to deliver and provide high quality care.

BCS is a co-educational independent school on the south coast. The school has extensive facilities across two sites; BCS Senior (day and boarding, 11-18) is situated in excellent grounds in Southbourne, Bournemouth and BCS Prep (day, 2-11) is in spacious accommodation in Lower Parkstone, Poole. There are currently approximately 630 pupils on roll.

BCS provides a nurturing environment where the happiness of the pupils comes first.

We have developed the 4Cs of BCS; creativity, curiosity, commitment and community and through our broad and dynamic curriculum we believe we equip, challenge and develop pupils in all these important areas.

Our added value also extends to the significant number of co-curricular opportunities offered to pupils, which help to instil and develop the skills we want our daughters and sons to have as they grow up. Consequently, BCS pupils leave the School as well-balanced, confident and versatile young people.

We want to inspire each pupil to make the most of the talents they have. This way the pupils at BCS, of any age, grow in self-esteem, develop resilience, have a sense of fun and adventure and are equipped to flourish as young adults.
