School Nurse

Hereford Cathedral Junior School seeks a caring and professional qualified Nurse, to work part-time term time only. The School Nurse is responsible for the providing the highest quality medical care and support to our pupils. It is essential that applicants are able to empathise and communicate with pupils and are committed to promoting health and wellbeing.     

The successful candidate must be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or a Paediatric Nurse and hold a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Pin number.    

Location: Hereford   

Description: Part time, ideally from 1st September 2017.     

Work pattern: 17.5 hours per week, term time only (36 weeks per year) Wednesdays: 1145-1545, to include a 30 minute handover. Thursdays: 0830-1545 Fridays: 0830-1545,   

Starting Salary: £21,332 FTE. This equates to £8,180 for the work pattern detailed above.  

The school has high standards across the board and an enviable reputation for Sport, Music and Drama. It was found to be “excellent” in each of the eight categories by ISI in its last inspection.   Hereford Cathedral School has a well-established and thriving extra-curricular programme, and the successful applicant will be expected to play an active part in this.
