Gatehouse School is a wonderful (almost) three form entry school situated in the heart of east London.  We are an Independent primary school, educating pupils from the ages of three to eleven years (Nursery up to Year 6).  A vacancy has arisen for a School Nurse to cover maternity leave, starting in September 2021.  This post is term time only with a competitive salary offered on a non pro-rata basis. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 5:30pm. 

 This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and flexible individual to join our dedicated, friendly and professional team.  We are looking for a suitably experienced candidate to join us in September.  Some responsibilities include:

● Providing healthcare and/or first aid to students in case of injury or acute illness and log all paperwork related to any treatments.

● Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.

● Create and deliver teaching sessions for students with regard to healthy habits, such as proper nutrition, hand washing, dental hygiene, and puberty.

● Organise first aid provision for school trips fixtures.

● Administer medication.

● Contact parents when necessary. 

● Liaise with outside agencies and relevant authorities/professionals.
