Farleigh School seeks to appoint an organised and self-motivated Office Manager to join our support team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the main school office.

The successful candidate will bring exceptional organisational and administrative skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced, busy school environment. The Office Manager will work closely with the Headmaster’s PA and will line manage a small team of receptionists and administrators in the school office.

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally

• Be professional and confident in their approach to communications with senior management, parents and staff

• Have a high level of IT competence and will be confident using varied IT packages including Outlook, Excel and Office. Previous experience or knowledge of iSams or a similar people records system would be desirable but not essential

• Have an excellent level of accuracy and be meticulous in their attention to detail

• Demonstrate a high level of discretion and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately

This is a year-round position working 37.5 hours per week between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility with the start and finish times during term time would be beneficial, in order to respond to the needs of the school. Occasional Saturday working will be required to provide cover on reception during term time, on a rota basis and/or to cover staff absence.

The successful candidate will receive a renumeration package which includes:

• A salary of £27,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on skills and experience at time of appointment
