Description The role, School Officer exists to provide:
• a reception service for phone and direct contact externally to and within the school
• general office administration including maintaining student records, typing and preparation of documents, ordering of school requisites and administrative support for staff
• support to the school principal as well as the assistant principal - Teaching & Learning and Curriculum Administration Coordinator.
Position Requirements • willingness to support the ethos of the Catholic School
• evidence of strong performance and quality of work with previous employer(s)
• proven knowledge and skills with MS Excel and accounting information systems
• strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• enthusiasm, proactivity and capacity to adapt
• ability to work in an environment with competing demands where tasks need to be prioritised
• ability to work effectively as part of a team
Essential Criteria • understanding of school certification processes e.g. NESA, schools online, teacher accreditation, ROSA & HSC processes
• office skills Certificate II or above
• data administration and maintenance of records
• familiarity with OneNote, Google and Microsoft Office
Desirable Criteria • practising Catholic
• experience with or prepared to train in SAS applications/finance
• current First Aid Certificate
• experience in Webpage maintenance/marketing

Conditions of EmploymentSalary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2017.

The Catholic Schools Office (CSO), is responsible for the leadership, efficient operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 18,000 students in 45 Primary schools, 10 Secondary schools and one K-12 school in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
