We are seeking a motivated, intelligent, enthusiastic and joy-filled professional to join our team of front line School Officers. The Curriculum School Officer will work in close partnership with the College Learning and Teaching Team and as such, the successful applicant will demonstrate outstanding levels of organisation and professionalism.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to Excellence in the provision of professional services; outstanding communication skills; a positive disposition and a genuine desire to work in partnership with College staff, students and families.
A service focused mindset will be evident in the successful candidate’s ability to articulate their experience in working to create an environment where, in partnership, they have worked to support teams in the achievement of organisational goals.

St Michael’s College is a co-educational Catholic secondary College administered by Brisbane Catholic Education with an approximate enrolment of 900 students. We are recognised on the Gold Coast for our great successes in academic, cultural, sporting and vocational fields over the past 30 years. Our curriculum is broad, allowing for each student’s development across Academic, Spiritual, Vocational, Cultural and Sporting arenas. We are known for our strong pastoral program. To be successful in this role you will:
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement; and
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
Estimated Start Date: Commencing January 2021
Position Tenure: Fixed Term
Weeks Worked: School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)
Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term): 2021 school year
Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 5 days/wk (38 hrs/wk) - Mon to Fri (may include some school holiday hours by negotiation)
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 4 - $31.44 per hour
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
