An opportunity has arisen for a School Officer: Media & Communications officer at our College. Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level or equivalent qualifications relevant to the positon may be required. The employee in this position is required to demonstrate: - Excellent written and veral communication skills - Proven ability to organise, prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines Typical duties/skills required (but not limited to): - Prepare and manage the College marketing plan and annual budget - Oversee and coordinate photography opportunities including the shoot and storage of photographs and maintaining the history of the College - Edit and package promotional content - Advertise in the supported platforms as guided by the annual budget plan - Promotion and organisation of annual events and activities including Open Day - Develop and manage the school's publicity materials and digital presence (newsletter, website, parent portal, Google ad words, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube) - Conduct surveys and collate results - Develop positive relationships with media organisations - Develop and create all marketing materials and oversee the production of brochures, banners, flyers, outdoor and digital content - Work together with the College Leadership Team and Principal's Personal Assistant to process and promote enrolments for new students and other functions in relation to enrolments (eg school visits, College tours). This position is a full time, term time, fixed term position until 6 December (reviewable at the end of this fixed term). An immediate start is preferable.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   Monday - Friday 7.6 hours/day 8.00 am - 4.06 pm

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   School Officer Level 4

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
