We are seeking a School Officer to undertake a diverse range of tasks within our Primary School. The school provides opportunities to students from all year levels, school staff, and the wider school community. The successful applicant will display proven communication and interpersonal skills; an understanding of the working with primary aged students with experience and knowledge in the use technology.


St Peters is situated in the southern suburbs of Brisbane and has an approximate enrolment of 480 students. St Peter’s was founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1976. Our school’s vision and mission ask us to be a community in faith, a community in learning and a community in peace. “Learning through Christ" is our school motto, recognizing that our Catholic school is centred around the teachings and actions of Jesus. Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.

About St Peter's Catholic Primary School Rochedale

St Peter's Catholic Primary School is a co-educational, Prep – Year 6 school located in the suburb of Rochedale, 17kms south of Brisbane CBD. Current student enrolments are at 468 with 35 teaching staff.

The school was established in 1976 with just 44 students who were provided with purpose built classrooms. During the 80’s the school soared in numbers to a three stream school but leveled out in the 90’s when more Catholic education facilities became available in surrounding communities.

St Peter’s is situated on 5 hectares of beautiful park-like grounds adjacent to the school’s Parish Church.  Facilities at the school include computer lab, library, hall, multipurpose courts. Also onsite is a pre-school which caters to approximately 50 part-time students.

Curriculum

St Peter’s follows the Australian Curriculum while adhering to the Brisbane Catholic Education Learning Framework. Literacy and mathematics are a central focus and students have specialist teachers in Music, Visual Arts, Drama, Indonesian and Physical Education. “Curriculum is planned cooperatively within and across Year levels to promote continuity. Planning involves Classroom Teachers, Learning Support Teacher, Teacher Librarian, APRE and Curriculum Support Teacher.”
