Good Samaritan Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 College located at Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast. The College opened in 2019 and is steadily growing towards full enrolment of approximately 1500 students. The first seniors will graduate from the College in 2024. We are seeking an experienced School Officer for our College to undertake a diverse range of tasks within the learning support environment.

You will bring to the role:

  • proven communication and interpersonal skills,
  • a willingness to work across year levels from Prep to Year 12 (in 2023 P-6 and Years 7-11),
  • an ability to work collaboratively as part of multiple teams,
  • high levels of IT competency and first aid experience would be an advantage, and
  • experience working with students requiring high level support would be an advantage.

High levels of discretion and confidentiality are important attributes of the role holders. To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 3 - $30.97 per hour

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
