Whitehall Park School, part of the Bellevue Place Education Trust (BPET), is seeking a highly capable and organised Operations Manager to join our forward-thinking team on a one-year fixed-term basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering operational excellence in a school setting.
You will lead on the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of operational functions across the school, including compliance, health and safety, ICT systems, facilities and estates, and contract management. As part of BPET’s operations team, you will also contribute to wider Trust initiatives, helping to deliver a 3-Year Strategic Plan and embedding our “Learn, Enjoy, Succeed” vision into all operational practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the smooth running of all non-teaching operations at Whitehall Park School, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and statutory requirements
Lead on facilities and estates management, ensuring planned preventative maintenance and health & safety standards are met across the site
Act as the key point of contact for contractors and service providers, including cleaning, catering, waste, and ICT support services
Support the implementation of data protection, safeguarding, and business continuity procedures
Maintain accurate records of statutory checks, training logs, risk assessments, and support audits and inspections
Collaborate with the Executive Headteacher, the Head of School, the School Leadership team, the Site Manager and the wider BPET central team along with Operation Managers from other BPET schools to share good practice and ensure high operational standards
Contribute to Trust-wide projects, including capital works, digital infrastructure, and continuous improvement planning
We are looking for someone who:
Has proven experience managing school or multi-site operations in an education or public sector setting
Is confident in contract management, compliance processes, and working with external service providers
Has strong knowledge of health & safety, estates, and facilities management
Is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on improving systems and processes
Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, school staff, and external partners
Is aligned with the BPET mission to deliver high-quality education and support every child to thrive
