About Us

University Technical Colleges (UTCs) offer students a revolutionary education that combines academic rigour with industry standard technical training: WMCUTC focuses on preparing students for professional careers in a modern, thriving Construction industry that is rich in cutting edge IT.

We are co-sponsored by Europe’s largest construction skills training provider, CITB and the University of Wolverhampton. Together our sponsors ensure that the quality of our curriculum is of the highest educational standards whilst tied closely to the reality of a rapidly changing industry in order to meet our students’ needs. The UTC is also working in partnership with over 60 employers who ensure that we are able to support our students into their chosen career. Through this support we are able to offer individual industry mentors for all students and staff, and deliver an employer led, project based curriculum. Students will be prepared for a range of roles across the sector including Architecture, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management and associated IT roles.

Our School Operations Manager will be able to manage, plan and run the finances of the UTC and the Trust (with the help of our Accountants) whilst juggling all aspects of estates management. You will need to be able to work under pressure, find creative solutions to problems and be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in!

You will be a member of the WMCUTC Extended Leadership team working to shape the strategic direction of the UTC. You will be required to attend Governors and Board meetings which may be outside of your core working hours.

WMCUTC will be based in a brand new, purpose-built building in Wolverhampton city centre at our Springfield Campus. Whilst this is being constructed, we will be based at a temporary school campus in Wolverhampton where our students will be helping us to design, build and innovate in our new building.

The Role

We will be employing only the very best teachers and support staff whose primary focus will be to drive academic excellence alongside technical proficiency. You will be highly presentable and will demonstrate:
