School Operations Officer / Headteacher's PA

37 hours per week, TTO + 20 days

This new position has been created to ensure the school continues its smooth operations function. The school is looking to appoint an organised and professional Operations Manager, with excellent office skills, a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail, to play a key role in providing comprehensive and highly competent support enabling the Headteacher to lead the school as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Your duties will include:

  • Personal Assistant to the Headteacher
  • Operational Manager of both the Admin Team and Site Team
  • Buildings, Compliance and Operations Manager, including Health & Safety, policy development, CIF bids, site development and accident reporting

The ideal candidate for this role would be an exceptional administrator with experience in a similar position.

To succeed you will:

  • Have an excellent standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Have management or senior administrative experience within a busy office environment, ideally as a personal assistant or secretary
  • Have a high level of IT skills and experience working with MS Office and Bromcom
  • Be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail
  • Be discrete and professional at all times, as you will be dealing with highly sensitive information
  • Be capable of prioritising work load and self-driven 
  • Work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Be a confident, enthusiastic, motivated and positive individual 
  • Be able to build positive and supportive relationships with students, teachers and fellow support staff
