St. Francis International School, in Rome, Italy, invites applications for the position of School Principal. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary School Principal to lead our school into the future. 

Catering to students aged 3-14, our school is renowned for a rigorous curriculum that seamlessly integrates International and Italian learning programmes, paving the way for our graduates to transition to top international secondary schools  

Key Responsibilities:

• Educational Leadership: Champion high curriculum standards and set clear, achievable performance goals. Develop and articulate a compelling vision for the school's future.
• School Management: Oversee daily operations, manage budgets with the administration team, and ensure compliance with all educational laws and policies.
• Staff Supervision and Development: Recruit, evaluate, support, and manage teachers and staff. Foster their professional growth through targeted training programs and performance feedback. Actively manage staff to ensure a collaborative, efficient, and positive working environment.
• Student Discipline and Support: Maintain a safe and disciplined learning environment. Implement supportive programs that enhance students' academic and emotional wellbeing.
• Parent and Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between the school and the community. Address parent concerns and cultivate community support through active engagement and communication.
• Admissions Guidance: Oversee the admissions process, to ensure every expression of interest is effectively converted into enrollment, securing our school's growth and maintaining high standards.
• Policy Management: Manage school policies, ensuring compliance and relevance to the school's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Inclusivity: Foster an inclusive school culture that values diversity and equity, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
• Event Coordination: Coordinate the school calendar and events with School Director,, ensuring a dynamic and engaging school environment 
• RISA Collaboration: Represent the school at termly R.I.S.A meetings, collaborating with fellow heads to enhance the collective educational experience.

Qualifications:

• Education: A higher degree in Education is required.
• Experience: Significant leadership experience in an educational setting, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage both staff and students.
• Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead with compassion, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
• Legal Requirements: Must possess an Italian Permesso di Soggiorno (residence permit), allowing for full legal employment in Italy.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English; ability to communicate in Italian is a significant advantage, enhancing engagement with the local community and stakeholders.
