School Receptionist

The Harrodian SchoolRichmond upon Thames

We are looking to appoint a Receptionist from January 2022. This is a key role for the school and we are looking for a confident, friendly and professional individual who will be a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and pupils. It goes without saying that they will have strong interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner and will be able to prioritise tasks efficiently and calmly in this busy, vibrant environment.

The Receptionist also holds responsibility for organising day and residential trips for the Pre-Prep and Prep Schools, checking pupil registers, and liaising with the Housekeeping and Kitchen Teams, amongst other things.

The successful candidate will be required to work every pupil day plus 11 additional days during the school holidays, including staff and Inset days. Working hours will be 07:45 to 17:00. A free school lunch is provided in the school canteen on all pupil days.

Founded in 1993, the Harrodian School is co-educational and set in 25 acres of grounds with excellent facilities. Harrodian offers teachers and students alike a friendly, welcoming and exceptional school environment where classes are small and standards and expectations are high. A sense of fun, a readiness to respond to students’ individual needs and an open approach to problem solving are qualities that we value highly in this dynamic and vibrant school.
