Job overview

As School Social Worker at Co-op Academy Grange, you’ll:

● Provide a high quality and comprehensive social work service to children, their families and carers, in accordance with the organisational needs, policy and practices of Co-op Academy Grange. 

● Develop relationships with children, young people and families/carers so as to best provide a high quality service.  

● Carry a caseload.

● undertake assessment of students’ and family needs using a child focused approach in accordance with agreed statutory and school procedures.   

● devise and implement service and support plans which correspond to the assessed needs of students, their families and carers in line with procedures.

● be responsible for analysing information to support the on-going needs of students, their families and carers.

● monitor and contribute to the review of plans relating to the assessed needs of students, their families and carers in accordance with school procedures.


You’ll have  Appropriate social work professional qualification (BSc, BA, MA, Dip SW, CQSW, or equivalent)  and be Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

You'll have excellent organisational and communication skills to enable planning, prioritising and delivering of work to tight deadlines and have the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.  You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in school alongside another School Social Worker.

We’re a larger than average inner-city academy in Bradford, within the Little Horton ward (BD5). Our building is shared with a special school, Co-op Academy Southfield, and this brings with it lots of opportunities to collaborate.
