Stoke Damerel Community College in Plymouth are looking for a School Sports Apprentice. 

The position includes 10 hours of cover supervisor work that is paid at a higher rate. We are keen to appoint a school sports apprentice to assist in the delivery of school PE lessons and extra-curricular activities.  The successful applicant will be required to take on varied roles and duties which will include working with pupils under the guidance of the teacher to maximize pupil progress. This may be with individuals or small groups where you will be helping to motivate and inspire pupils to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity.  

The successful candidate will support pupils in classroom lessons and on a one-to-one basis as required. This is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people by developing sports participation and positive experiences within a school environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation which has unique progression opportunities within the education sector and currently participates in the Schools Direct programme. Formal training will be provided to support development and progression opportunities of the successful candidate.
