About Reddish Hall School
Reddish Hall is an independent SEMH school situated in Stockport. The aim of the school is to encourage children to achieve and succeed personally, academically, socially and develop their self confidence that will enable them to cope in everyday situations and manage the transition from school to college or work environments. By rebuilding self-esteem and forging positive relationships, our pupils replace failure with success.

About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a School Support to join our close-knot team at Reddish Hall School in Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with complex young people who have a needs ranging from autistic spectrum conditions to attachment difficulties and developmental trauma and be keen to help us develop our therapeutic approach towards helping our pupils achieve successful outcomes.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people on a 1-1 or group basis supporting them in and out of class. This is a demanding but highly rewarding role for a candidate that is supportive, proactive and wants to make a difference.

Essential Criteria
- Positive communication and listening skills

- To have Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills

About Reddish Hall School
Reddish Hall School is a co-educational school catering for pupils aged 5-18 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour- all of our young people have an Education Health Care Plan. The school accepts pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs, though they may face additional challenges and diagnoses including ADHD, Asperger’s, SpLD, MLD, OCD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome or a variety of other conditions. Additionally, many of our pupils have serious social issues and very difficult home lives resulting in complex emotional difficulties.
All pupils attending Reddish Hall School have individual needs that have proved too complex to be addressed within a mainstream setting. The school provides effective support and a suitably differentiated curriculum, enabling them to progress and succeed to the best of their ability.
