An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Schools Data Protection Officer with Wandsworth Council. This newly created role will develop a data protection service that advises and supports schools on Data Protection best practice, policy and procedure.
The postholder will devise a programme of work for schools in compliance with the GDPR, and will deliver data protection training and guidance to staff, to increase school wide awareness of data protection and staff capability to comply with the Regulation
The ideal candidate will:
- have excellent knowledge of data protection laws
- have experience of leading projects
- have leadership level credibility
- have knowledge of the school's sector
- be a self-starter and work independently
- have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
