Job overview

The link between low income and low academic attainment is greater in the UK than almost any other developed nation. Children eligible for free school meals are less likely to get good GCSEs and go on to higher education. This makes it more likely they will struggle throughout their lives, widening social inequality. It’s a cycle that we’re determined to break.

The School Partnerships Lead reports to the School Partnerships Manager and has responsibility for implementing a strategy which increases the breadth of our school partnerships through recruitment of new schools and through the deepening of existing school relationships.

The role will require some travel to schools across part of the region (depending on your allocated portfolio of participants) and we also have an agile working policy which supports some opportunities to work from home.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building strong relationships and credibility to influence internal and external stakeholders. You are a confident, clear and concise communicator both in orally and in written forms of communication, including in presentations to a range of stakeholders. You can take personal responsibility for delivering against organisational priorities and set objectives. You are proactive in continually improving your own performance and that of the team. You are skilled in generating leads and proactively managing a pipeline of leads and accounts to achieve targets. You have experience in developing and managing successful partnerships

The day when no child’s future is limited by their background is coming, yet, there is still more to be done. Join us and help us ensure every child in the UK has a fair shot at their ambitions.
