Sec. School, Learning Support Teacher, parttime cover, local candidates only

We are looking to recruit a successful Learning Support teacher with the following profile (in addition to the generic VIS Subject Teacher Job Description):

Fixed term, 39,29% part-time cover contract, linked to a colleague on parental parttime, planned for Mondays and Tuesdays, although some flexibility and adjustments may be possible; we are therefore only able to consider local candidates.

Start date: 24th August 2026, length tbc

Desired Qualification: M.A. in Special Education/ SEN - Learning Support/Special Education, Moderate or Severe Needs Teaching Credentials

- Professional training and experience supporting students with:

.) Autism Spectrum Disorder

.)Dyslexia

.)Dyscalculia

.)ADHD

- Experience and desire to support Grade 6-12 students in all subjects

- Proven track record designing and implementing differentiation and behavior modification strategies

- Familiarity with Positive Peer Culture and/or Positive Education models

- Instructional leadership:

.) Experience organizing, facilitating and leading in-house workshops

.) Curriculum review and articulation

.) PYP - MYP - DP transition

.) Creative and solution oriented
