Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Level 1 Teaching Assistant. This role is of great importance to our work as an academy. The successful candidate will work with our Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) to support access to learning for pupils with SEND and provide general support to our teaching professionals in the management of pupils and the classroom. Our Teaching Assistants spend time supporting pupils both in lessons and through one-to-one and small group intervention work.

 

Potential applicants should have:

·        Experience of working with young people.

·        The ability to work constructively as part of a team.

·        Strong numeracy/literacy skills.

Bruntcliffe Academy is an increasingly popular 11-16 comprehensive school with approximately 1400 students on roll. The school is situated in Morley which is on the outskirts of the thriving city of Leeds, with a very good motorway access to all areas of the north of England and beyond.
