Boston Spa Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Teacher of Chemistry. This role is of great importance to our work as an academy in ensuring that children can achieve their full educational potential in Chemistry.
Potential applicants should:
Be either:
· A trainee teacher who is successfully completing placement(s) teaching at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training).
or:
· A colleague with a successful record of teaching with strong examination results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who have already gained Qualified Teacher Status).
Applicants should also have:
· A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the effective use of the Pupil Premium.
· The ability to put vision into practice.

The majority of our students choose to remain at our own sixth form provision that will be renamed as Boston Spa Academy Sixth Form and with a new £1.2million Sixth Form Centre opening from September 2026. Boston Spa Academy in Boston Spa, Wetherby, West Yorkshire, is a mixed, secondary school for children aged 11-18. The school, which opened in 1973, has around 1,430 students of which 190 attend the growing sixth form. In September 2018, Boston Spa Academy officially joined the highly successful and nationally renowned GORSE trust.
