Science Teacher - MPS/UPS
The Governing Body wish to appoint a dynamic and innovative science teacher, to join a committed and dedicated team of staff within the science department. The department consists of 10 staff, including three technicians, a Head of Department and a second in department. The Science department achieves excellent results, with three consecutive, positive Science Pillar value added scores and over 50% of the cohort taking three separate Sciences. The successful candidate will be a highly determined, outstanding classroom practitioner.

Science is delivered throughout the curriculum at key stage 3 and the triple science route is a popular option pathway at key stage 4. The department has dedicated classrooms and laboratories, fully equipped with interactive technology, and visualizers.

We are a large secondary school, part of the Education Partnership Trust (EPT), situated on the northern outskirts of Blackburn. Our school community is made up of 1350 students and 180 staff with excellent facilities to benefit both the school and local community.
