Job overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Science Teacher
The successful candidate will:
· Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
· Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
· Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
· This position is open to a specialist in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Our ideal candidate will have:
· A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
· At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
· QTS/QTLS is advantageous

At Mynydd Haf School:
We provide high quality learning experiences within a small, focused nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an IDP/ALN Statement and have ADHD and/or express behaviours that are challenging or inappropriate in a community setting. Class sizes are small. The staff to student ratio is usually 2:4 in all classes.

Pupils
Mynydd Haf School welcomes boys and girls aged 11-17, many of whom have additional learning needs such as BESD, ADHD, and ODD. Some pupils are returning to education after a period of absence, while others benefit from a smaller, more focused learning environment. Through our tailored approach, we help each student build the skills and confidence needed to thrive.

The school specialises in supporting pupils with ADHD, SEMH, attachment difficulties, ODD or general behaviour challenges within social educational environments.
