We are currently seeking a Science Teacher on a 0.5FTE to join our established school in Dunstable.

The successful candidate will teach Science from Y7 to Y9 in KS3/4 in the secondary section of the school. Science groups are set in Y7-11. In Y7-8 the school follows its own curriculum underpinned by self-directed learning principles. In Y9-11 the AQA GCSE course is followed. Courses are regularly reviewed to reflect national curriculum and exam board developments.

Examination results in Science are high with over 90% of Year 11 students gaining A*-C. Group size is small, learners are enthusiastic and behaviour is excellent. The staff at the school is friendly and teachers are very supportive of each other, creating a lovely atmosphere to work in. Remuneration is more than competitive.

You will:

  • Be appropriately professionally qualified including Hons Degree and QTS
  • Have the ability and appropriate experience to teacher KS3 and GCSE Science
  • Have a proven track record in raising standards of achievement and supporting individual pupil learning
  • Be committed to CPD and open to change
  • Consistently model high professional standards
  • Have the ability to work in a team
  • Show willingness to support the ethos of the school
