Kingsley School is a co-educational independent boarding school with students from 2-19 years old, located in the beautiful UNESCO Biosphere of North Devon and one of only 12 World Surf Reserves worldwide. Designated as an Earth Centre with a focus on sustainability and environmental education and with its very own surf academy, Kingsley School invites applications to join its dynamic science department to teach Year 7-13 students in the Senior School, and to achieve that perfect work-life balance where the wellbeing and mental health of staff and students is the number one priority. You will be delivering subject-based learning in both our core and expansive curriculums, where you are able to be creative, think differently and do things differently to help our students and staff colleagues become the very best versions of themselves. Kingsley School is located in the coastal town of Bideford, Devon, within a UNESCO Biosphere and World Surf Reserve. The school occupies 25 acres of beautiful grounds situated above the town of Bideford, just 5 minutes from the beaches at Westward Ho! and Instow, and the picturesque fishing village of Appledore. The school is co-educational and has around 420 students aged 2-18 accommodated in the Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior Schools. Approximately 75 of our students are boarders, with the rest being day students.
An academically non-selective school, Kingsley School can boast of a wide range of facilities including a fully floodlit all-weather 3G pitch, a theatre, and further impressive sports, arts, surfing, outdoor education and environmental facilities. We are an Artsmark school and have won a number of national awards and competitions in sport, STEM, the arts, surfing and environmentalism.
