Science Teacher

We are looking to appoint a committed professional to the role of Science Teacher at Ealing Fields High School, which is part of the Twyford Trust family of schools. The new post-holder will be a strong classroom practitioner with a commitment to achieving the highest standards both academically and in terms of the learning habits and personal dispositions of our students. This post is suitable for newly qualified teachers, but we welcome applications from teachers who have progressed beyond the ECT1 & 2 and are seeking development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative teacher and curriculum planner who is looking to support in planning and delivering the Science curriculum, and for monitoring the progress of students. We work collaboratively to create a curriculum that inspires, challenges and nurtures students, using ambitious outcomes, which leads to thorough subject knowledge and sustained progress. The new post-holder will contribute to a consistently high quality of teaching and learning in the department and will support the development of a culture of sharing good practice.

• A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status.

• An understanding of the processes and techniques required to assess, record and report students’ learning effectively.

The Twyford Trust

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a compact CoE MAT which  comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community. Over a 10-year period it launched three new schools Ealing Fields, William Perkin and Ada Lovelace all of which have achieved progress outcomes ranking them in the top 1% of schools nationally, making TCEAT the highest attaining Trust in the UK. TCEAT aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well. Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the TCEAT operates on collaborative principles with some central services to achieve consistency of provision. The Trust has a highly evolved common curriculum which has been devised by staff within the four schools. Ealing Fields High School, South Ealing

Ealing Fields High School was opened as a Free School in 2016 and became part of the Twyford CE Academies Trust on 1st September 2017. Ealing Fields is the smallest of the Trust schools, with an intake of 150 into Year 7 and therefore it has a very compact community identity. The school now has five Year Groups (7 - 11) totalling 700 students, and the staff community is very positive and highly motivated. The school moved to its brand-new permanent site in Northfields in September 2020. Relations between staff and students are extremely positive and it is easy for every member of the school to be well known by all the staff. Staff joining at this time are likely to have a highly motivated drive towards building an outstanding school community within an already highly successful Trust.
