We are looking for inspiring Science Teachers, to work within a successful multi-academy Trust based in the Borough of Ealing. We offer comprehensive CPD, exciting development opportunities and good promotion prospects for our teachers.  We are looking to appoint a Science Teacher in Twyford Church of England High School and also, William Perkin Church of England High School.

The new post-holders will prepare our students for GCSE and beyond. You will join an innovative, ambitious and enthusiastic staff group that seeks to deliver an outstanding curriculum, and will be well supported by an experienced Senior Leadership Team.

The Twyford Trust comprises four schools – Twyford CE High School (Acton), William Perkin CE High School (Greenford), Ada Lovelace CE High School (Central Ealing) and Ealing Fields High School (South Ealing). Two of our schools are new, with students at Ealing Fields having taken GCSEs for the first time in 2021 and students at Ada Lovelace due to take them in 2023. Our two established schools, Twyford and William Perkin (both Ofsted ‘Outstanding’), have thriving and oversubscribed Sixth Forms.

The Twyford Trust also includes Teach West London, the Teaching School Hub for the 4 Boroughs of Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow. The Hub prides itself on supporting outstanding teacher training via the delivery of the DfE’s ‘The Golden Thread’.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status

  • Ability to teach Science to at least KS4

  • Knowledge of the requirements of the National Curriculum

  • An understanding of recent curriculum / learning developments

  • An understanding of the strategies required to motivate and enthuse all students across the ability range as part of a whole school approach to raising achievement

  • An understanding of the processes and techniques required to assess, record and report students’ learning effectively

  • Ability to be reflective and driven towards self-improvement

  • A commitment to the ethos of the school

Twyford Church of England High School is the founding school of the Twyford CE Academies Trust which is the highest performing Trust in the UK.  It has developed specialisms in Music and Modern Foreign Languages and a reputation for excellence which has made it heavily oversubscribed. Twyford has very strong Christian foundations and is rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted (October 2023) and was very successful in its SIAMS inspection (November 2024).

Twyford educates 1000 students in years 7-11 and consistently achieves outstanding GCSE results with a Progress 8 score of +1.26 in 2023 and +1.1 in 2024. Twyford’s students achieve strong results with 81% of students achieving a grade 5 or above in English and Maths, and an Attainment 8 score of 67 in 2025. The school has a large Sixth Form of over 650 students and offers a wide range of A-Levels with strong results across the 25 subjects on offer. In 2025 nearly 50% of A levels were graded A* or A and over 75% graded B or above.

The majority of Sixth Form students progress to university taking a wide range of routes including competitive courses such as Medicine and Engineering at Oxbridge and top Russell Group universities. There is also an Additional Resourced Centre for students with EHC Plans, mainly focused on students with Autism and Speech & Language difficulties. The school prides itself on its inclusive approaches and there is an active House System and Sixth Form Community Service Programme which supports this.
