Lakers School is a very special place, a family, where everyone’s individual skills, strengths and talents are recognised and rewarded. Our high academic aspirations are balanced with giving every pupil in our care the very best chance to succeed. Our school mission statement reflects this: ‘success for all through challenge and support’ underpinned by our cooperative values of self-help, self-responsibility, equity, equality, democracy and solidarity.

Working together with parents, our dedicated and enthusiastic staff will help your child reach their potential. When the learner is committed, they will achieve. This Summer our results improved by 12% on the 2015 figures, with 46% of our pupils achieving 5 A* - C’s including English and Maths.

A diverse range of extra-curricular activities, from theatre visits and art clubs to a full and exciting sports programme, complement our personalised curriculum so that every child’s interests are catered for and their skills can shine. Our aim is that every student leaves us happy, confident, proud of their success and fully equipped to face a modern and demanding world.

Everyone at Lakers feels very proud of our school. The best way to find out why is to see us in action. Please feel free to ring to arrange a visit at any time.
