Halton School is an independent special school in who are focused on providing a safe learning environment that benefits all learners with the skills for their future. We work with 7 – 18year olds with a range of SEND.
As a Science Teacher within our school, you will be providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.
You will be playing your part in helping the school achieve its aims and values. You will be delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students with support from the leadership team.
What do you need?
We are looking for a qualified Science Teacher that can help students with a range of special educational needs access mathematics and achieve their very best. This vacancy is open to a specialist in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

About Rivacre Brook School
Welcome to Rivacre Brook School. We welcome pupils who have either been unable to maintain a place in a mainstream school or who are thought to benefit from a stable period in a small, supportive school environment. The school provides day placements for children and young people, and we are registered with the Department for Education.

We aim to create a positive and safe environment where pupils are nurtured educationally, socially, and spiritually.
What sets us apart from other schools
Rivacre Brook is a provision for 7- to 18-year-olds and is based across two sites: Rivacre Brook and Halton School.
Pupils
The young people who attend the school have special educational needs (SEN), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), and are between the ages of 7 and 18 years.
Areas of Expertise
We aim to offer all pupils a well-rounded curriculum in which, irrespective of academic ability, they can achieve high levels of success. In response to this, we offer a variety of wider curriculum activities, including indoor wall climbing, high ropes, boxing, VR, swimming, and therapeutic horse riding.
This programme enables pupils not only to develop new physical skills but also to build trust and positive relationships with others. We have also established links with the Police, Shy Lowen Horse and Pony Sanctuary, and Fast Forward Go Karting Vocational Training.
