We are a comprehensive inner London secondary school with a diverse intake of students from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science teacher to support the teaching and learning of our students and join a fantastic Science department in our AMSI community.
We are continuing our development towards outstanding as our last Ofsted (November 2017) judged us as a Good school where the students’ welfare is at the heart of the school’s work. We are looking for the right person to join the Science team as we pursue our school vision of every child a scholar. We are a caring and creative community which is underpinned by the cornerstones of Confidence, Aspiration, Reflection and Respect.
You will be an integral part of the Science department under the leadership of the Head of Faculty. The ability to teach basic skills, reasoning and problem solving with a creative flair will underpin the expectation and ethos of the school.

About Arts & Media School Islington
Arts & Media School Islington is a co-educational, comprehensive trust foundation school in north Islington, London.
The Victorian school building was originally home to Montem Street School, later becoming known as Tollington Park Secondary School and, more recently, as George Orwell School.
In 2014, Arts & Media School Islington was selected to be one of 12 schools in London to participate in the Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MISST) programme, which aims to develop team-working skills, improve discipline and enrich the learning of students through the creativity of music.
Key stage 3 students at Arts & Media School Islington receive an orchestral string instrument alongside compulsory musical education for three years, all free of charge.
