We have a fantastic opportunity at our Maidstone campus for an experienced and interactive Science Teacher to join the team on a full time, permanent basis and to teach our students in KS3-KS4. You will be adept at coaching our students to see and lead through challenges in their learning, so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson.

 You will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status and a degree or a similar Science related qualification
  • Possess recent experience of teaching Science to students in KS3-KS4
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum for GCSE Science including exam specifications.
  • Possess a good understanding of SEND procedures
  • Have a diverse set of skills which will enable you to be flexible working in the classroom for both theory and practical sessions, as well as in our modern learning centre
  • Be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn
  • Enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
  • Flexible approach and positive attitude towards work
  • Respect and promote the schools Ethos and Values

 Key responsibilities:

  • To teach all three Sciences from years 7-11.
  • To engage in active participation in all staff meetings and CPD
  • To act as the Line Manager of the Science Technician and if the need requires to take on this role temporarily
  •  Plan and deliver high quality learning experiences for students
  • Demonstrate active reflection by engaging in constant evaluation of own and students’ performance
  • Mark, assess and report on students work and progress in line with school policy
  • To plan effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and in collaboration with the SENCO, prepare, implement, monitor and review Individual Educational Plans.
  • Attend all relevant staff meetings, CPD, consultations and school events with a clear and professional sense of purpose
  • To perform such other duties as may be requested from time to time, commensurate with the role
  • Uphold and promulgate the OSG ethos within all areas of responsibility
  • Contribute to, share in and promote the wider and longer-term vision of One School Global

About OneSchool Global UK Maidstone Campus

OneSchool Global UK Maidstone Campus (formerly Focus School Linton Park Campus) is an independent, all-through, co-educational, non-selective school for children aged 7-18. It has a strong Christian ethos and there are 195 pupils on its roll. Linton Park is situated in Maidstone, Kent. The school was established on its current site in 2008 in purpose-built accommodation, which has been further developed since including a new state-of-the-art Learning Centre for Primary students.
