Unsted Park School are looking to recruit an outstanding Science Teacher to join our Teaching team!

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils.  The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

Unsted Park School has an Ofsted rating of Good with Outstanding features. Our school is set in a beautiful semi-rural location with 44 acres of surrounding grounds. We are a SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 7 to 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties and are looking to recruit an outstanding Science Teacher to teach KS3 and KS4 to join our Education team! We are looking for ambitious, energetic and committed teachers who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils. You must already have the right to work in the UK. 

As a Qualified Teacher you will have a proven outstanding teaching ability, to manage, lead and deliver curriculum within a classroom environment. The role will work within the diverse demands of the school whilst developing its recognised strengths and attributes.


Applicants will be qualified GTC Registered Teachers who are:

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within SEN, along with the following characteristics:

Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.


Organisation – You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.


Caring – Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.


Attentive – No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital 

About Unsted Park School and Sixth Form

Through our services at Unsted Park School and Sixth Form, we provide specialist education and care to young people aged 7 to 19 years with high functioning autism, Asperger Syndrome and associated disorders.
