Job overview

Launceston College are looking to appoint two enthusiastic, dedicated and highly effective Teachers of Science. The successful candidates will teach science at KS3 and KS4, and potentially at KS5 depending on experience.

The ability to teach BTEC Applied Science Level 3 or A Level Chemistry is desirable, but not essential.

Launceston College Science Faculty is a consistently high-performing team that strives to deliver an exceptional science education for our students. The faculty works in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry and Institute of Physics, along with other local and national institutions, to deliver a high quality, broad and rich science curriculum that enables all of our students to achieve exceptional outcomes. We are also building a brand-new science facility which will be opening at the end of 2022.

These roles are both 1.0 FTE, permanent positions. Please indicate on your application form which one you are applying for.

One role we would ideally like to start after Easter 2022 and the other is to commence September 2022.

Main pay range 1 to Upper pay range 3, £25,714 to £41,604
