This is an exciting post that aims to improve teaching and learning within the Science Department and possibly across the Trust. This would be a unique and fulfilling opportunity for those looking to go into Senior Leadership but also someone that is passionate about exploring Science practice across the Academy. 

Queensbury Academy welcomes applications from main scale teachers from all science disciplines. Ability to teach science at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential and the ability to teach Key Stage 5 in specialist areas is desirable. 

Queensbury Academy is an oversubscribed good school and one which is committed to moving to outstanding as quickly as possible.  We offer high quality induction and support including many CPD opportunities to enhance career progression. We support staff with their well-being and workload to ensure they enjoy working here and they can make an impact.

We are looking for a teacher who: 

• is passionate about their subject and developing teaching resources 

• is creative and enthusiastic 

• has experience of coaching other staff 

• has high expectations of themselves and students 

• has excellent communication skills
