This role has a recruitment allowance of an extra £250 per calendar month until 31 August 2025.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic teacher of science. You will have good subject knowledge, a passion for Science, and want students to love Science as much as we do. Outwood Academy Ormesby is an improving school at the heart of the community. The department consists of six teachers and a specialist Science technician. The department benefits from four science labs and two specialist classrooms, and a science 121 tutor.

Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) are proud to be a part of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) hosting its North and East campus as Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Adwick. The NIoT identifies best practice in education, in order to develop cutting-edge, evidence-based teacher training and professional development programmes. OGAT colleagues will benefit from the work of the institute, which draws on the expertise of some of the most outstanding school leaders in education today. For our ECT colleagues a full and detailed programme of support and development, including science subject specialism support will be provided.

You will also be supported by an OGAT director of science who provides bespoke CPD, coaching and mentoring to all colleagues. 

Successful applicants may be entitled to claim back their student loans yearly for an extensive time period (depending on when you qualified). (Application required - more information can be found here

Levelling up payment: £2000-3000 per annum until 31 August 2025 for chemistry and physics teachers (Application required - more information can be found here)

OR

We are an 11-16 academy based in the large, north-east town of Middlesbrough.

The academy received a good judgement in their 2017 Ofsted inspection. However in July 2022 the academy was given a notice to improve judgement. Leadership has significantly changed and a comprehensive improvement plan has been implemented to secure sustainable long term change for the academy.
