Our Science department is a friendly, supportive and high-performing team of 5 teachers. The department includes a combination of experienced and more recently-qualified staff. The department is a great place to start your career as a teacher as well as somewhere where more experienced staff can thrive.
The department is extremely well resourced. Every classroom has a visualiser and these are used extensively by the team in frequent and highly effective episodes of guided practice to develop strong procedural knowledge and confidence for independent and deliberate practice. There is a substantial departmental office and the department is supported by two Science technicians.
